If you feel that the ribbon in Excel 2010 occupies more space on the screen then you can minimize it. Please note that the ribbon cannot be removed. The following are the ways to minimize the ribbon.
1. Press Ctrl + F1.
2. Right-click on the Quick Access Toolbar and click on Minimize the Ribbon.
3. Right-click on any tabs (Example: Home, Insert) and click on Minimize the Ribbon.
4. Double click on any tabs (Example: Home, Insert).
