Insert current date in a cell in Excel 2010

In Microsoft Excel, pressing Ctrl + ; from the keyboard or typing =Now() or Today() function will enter the current date in a cell. However, there are significant differences with the first and the other two ways. The first way is static and the other two ways are dynamic. Static entry type defines that the date in the cell will remain the same on any date. On the other hand, the dynamic type will update the date when you open the Excel file..
